A proposed development in Leander that includes a 4-acre lagoon for swimming, a hotel, restaurants and retail, is up for consideration by the City Council this summer after falling apart since it was first announced in 2020. Leander Springs could create 2,614 jobs with an average annual salary of $66,000 and bring in $110.6 million in annual sales tax, according to figures provided by Hill. It would be at the southwest corner of U.S. 183A and RM 2243.
