During an open house sponsored by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, agency officials featured a transportation issue close to the hearts of Lago Vista and Briarcliff residents. According to CAMPO, due to the lack of an arterial road, bridge or ferry over the river connecting the two cities, drivers encounter a trek of more than one hour to get from one city to the other. This has been an issue for as long as I can remember and I moved to Austin in 1971.
